I enjoyed playing this game, great job! I checked the unit asset that you used for your game, but I couldn't find the horse and cleric unit. Did you make these units by yourself? And where did you get the portrait icons from? I am asking because I want to try and make a similar game myself.

And yeah, I commissioned the horse, cleric and knight sprites from different pixel artists. They should be listed in the credits.
Portraits are all ai generated using retro diffusion, they started as 32x32 images and then I upscaled them with img2img. I have some posts about it on my Twitter, or you can check the retrodiffusion discord.
hope that makes sense, there’s also an open source FE8 Godot conversion that I used as a starting base for the game.
