NPCs buy in!

So, it's been a while!  I took a bit of a break, but have been back at it, and feel I have enough to justify an update!  I'm happy you're here, and thanks for reading!

NPCS:

The big change here is NPCs!  These are characters who come up to your table and bet along side you! Just like special chips, they also can influence the game board, from re-rolling dice to try and get a specific outcome, or stealing winnings from the player!
This change comes from a great suggestions by filmstars, and turned into a great addition.  My main goal with the NPC's are to add more variety and obstacles to a player's run, as well as contribute to the "craps" feeling of having people come and go from the table as you play (and some of those people being real characters).

Heat System:

This is a bit of a sub-bullet, but this system was added as a way to add more difficulty to "run-away" runs.  As you earn chips without losing, you will build up heat.  The higher your Heat, the more NPC's you will spawn.  The NPC's will also be more challenging, and complex as Heat grows.  Of course, there are now special chips that works of Heat as well, and can influence it.  I like this system a lot, it feels good in play testing, and I'm curious what players will think of it.  Also,  the effect is cool of course.

New Tutorial:

We have a new tutorial!  Again!  This one work more like individual levels, where you can only use a single bet, and a large bankroll.  I hope this gives players the freedom to experiment with bets, learn them, and move on at their own pace.  This also works in the existing level framework, so players get a more authentic experience, with less guardrails (and failure points!)

If you want to try it out and give me feedback, it'd be great to hear!

New Upgrade System:

I've had a hard time figuring out a good upgrade system, but I believe I've finally found one I like.  Essentially, every shop you get 3 bets to upgrade.  The upgrades can be Gold, Silver, or Bronze.  Each upgrade increase that bet's payout, with higher quality adding more obviously).  Because you only get three, and they are relatively cheap, this gives the easy, but impactful, money dump I want it to be.

Resolution change:

Our game previously ran at a smaller resolution (1280x720), which confined UI space.  As more features were added, a higher resolution was needed.  I've moved to  1920x1080, and plan to stay there.  Not much else to say other then this scale up was painful, but not as painful as it could have been due to intelligent coding on my part (Yes I will pat my own back).

If this causes any issues for you, please let me know!

Socials:

I'm trying to find play-testers who would test out different difficulty or scaling settings, so I've created a discord:
